Our understanding of ADHD has grown and evolved so much in the last few decades. Often when people come to therapy with undiagnosed/untreated ADHD they are experiencing a great amount of unexplained depression and anxiety. When we are able to identify any type of neurodivergence and begin to work with the brain instead of against it, a great deal of peace and understanding can be found.
EMDR is a very effective form of therapy for many people. We can never take away the memories, but EMDR can help lower the physical and emotional response we have.
So many parents are struggling to connect to their teenagers, especially in the times of social media. I love working with teenagers, specifically those kids who are especially disconnected.
Many couples enter therapy far past when they should have started therapy. Most of the couples I see are working through infidelity (sexual, emotional, or financial), struggling to communicate with one another, and/or have become so disconnected they need help to find their way back together.
